Marilyn Smith , our Welshpool resident, is talking about her father’s epic bike ride as a 21 year old. He rode his push bike from Victoria to Queensland during the 1930’s depression looking for work.
Marilyn is well known as the creator of a wonderful collection of ‘antique’ dolls now on display at the museum.
Marilyn’s talk, about 8pm, after the monthly meeting commencimg 7.30pm, Crawford Hall, Tuesday 4th June 2019. Access from the car park via ramp which has a hand rail and is well lit. Members, guests and the general public all welcome. A gold coin donation is requested for non members staying for tea, coffee and snacks.
